------Senate Passes Two-Month Extension of Therapy Cap Exceptions Process

On Saturday, December 17, the Senate passed the payroll tax holiday
extension legislation that contained a two-month extension of the therapy
cap exceptions process. The House comes back to Washington today and
could consider the legislation tonight, which leadership has said they oppose,
setting it up for possible failure. The Senate has adjourned for the year, so at
this point, we do not know if this issue will be resolved before December 31st,
when the exceptions process expires. The situation is very fluid and could change.  NASL members should continue sending emails to Members of Congress, both House and Senate. We will continue to update you as more details emerge.
