HealthPRO Heritage is proud to announce Ricky Cameron, MD, as the new Chief Medical Officer. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Cameron will replace Dr. Jim Avery, who is retiring with more than 30 distinguished years in medical practice.
Dr. Cameron joined the HealthPRO Heritage team in 2021 with the acquisition of Texas-based Rehab Solutions, where he served as the Medical Advisor and Chief Strategist. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in 1992 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1996. Following graduation, Dr. Cameron became board certified in Family Medicine after completing a medical residency with the University of Arkansas and is a member of AMDA/The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine.
“I remain impressed with HealthPRO Heritage’s deep commitment to serving people at all levels of the healthcare continuum. I’m excited to work with the company’s many divisions, including Pediatrics, Long-Term Care, Senior Living, and Home Health,” states Dr. Cameron. “HealthPRO Heritage’s culture and mission underpin my own higher calling of empowering people to make informed health-related decisions by simplifying complex medical issues.”
“Dr. Cameron is the perfect fit for HealthPRO Heritage,” states John Heller, CEO. “In addition to his extensive experience caring for seniors, Dr. Cameron’s primary focus is well-aligned with HealthPRO Heritage’s commitment to upholding thoughtful guidance and compassionate care.
