HealthPRO Heritage to Expand Wellness Offerings with SilverSneakers®
We are excited to expand our wellness offerings to seniors throughout the United States through a new relationship with SilverSneakers®, the nation’s leading fitness program for older adults.
HealthPRO Heritage will offer SilverSneakers classes to residents at senior living and long-term care client facilities to eligible individuals. In addition, eligible non-residents may attend classes at the facilities at no charge. The agreement is the first of its kind between a national rehabilitation services provider and SilverSneakers, a solution offered by Tivity Health. Bringing the program to HealthPRO Heritage sites has the potential to increase access to fitness and wellness opportunities that are proven to improve the quality of life and overall health of participants.
Based on a recent survey, more than 86% of SilverSneakers
participants say they feel healthier, with 68% reporting an improvement in mobility and balance.
Research has shown that regular physical activity can help seniors minimize fall and fracture risk, lower blood pressure, maintain healthy muscles and joints as well as a multitude of other benefits. This affiliation will complement our strong wellness offerings which include educational series, health and wellness assessments and individual and group exercise programs.
“We are very proud to be the first in our industry to offer SilverSneakers’ proprietary programming, supporting our client resident wellness needs, in addition to a large number of seniors who live outside these settings.”
