February 8, 2021. HealthPRO Heritage is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of California based Therapy Specialists.
“Therapy Specialists’ longstanding history of exceptional therapy services and customer care in California aligns well with our cultural foundation of clinical innovation, integrity, and strategic customer solutions,” states John Heller, CEO of HealthPRO Heritage. “Both of our organizations have earned strong reputations in our respective markets and, together, will offer an expanded presence in California and on the west coast more broadly, as well as powerful suite of solutions across the post-acute care continuum."
Based in San Diego, CA, Therapy Specialists has served the California market for 45 years, expanding consistently since being founded by industry pioneer and Occupational Therapist, Susan J. Harris in 1976. The company provides therapy services ranging from pediatrics, aquatics, and women’s health specialties in outpatient clinic settings, pediatrics, to home health, senior rehab, PACE and memory care in senior living facilities.
“We are excited to partner with a strong, viable, and forward-thinking company like HealthPRO Heritage. We will quickly benefit from their clinical programming and reimbursement expertise, marketplace strategy, and compliance – bringing even more value to the hundreds of lives we touch every day,” said Lisa Rodriguez, President. “We have built a loyal client base due to our mission set forth by our founder, whose legacy we will collaboratively memorialize with the Susan J. Harris Scholarship & Mentorship Program, empowering employees to achieve their higher calling.”
