October 22, 2021 – HealthPRO Pediatrics is proud to announce that its Director of Staff Development Rebecca (Becky) Crouch, OTR/L was awarded the “2021 Fieldwork Educator Award” by the Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC) at their annual conference last night.
OTAC’s conference theme this year was “Resilient. Renewed. Rising!“ Becky exemplifies each of those qualities in her everyday development and attention to ensuring students within our fieldwork program receive quality support and mentorship.
For nearly a decade, Becky has accepted and placed OT and OTA students from several universities / colleges throughout CA and outside CA. Due to her support and advocacy that our clinicians have appropriate preparation train the next generation of occupational therapy clinicians, more than 15 OTRs/COTAs have completed the AOTA Fieldwork Educators Certification + nearly 20 of our employees have been fieldwork educators.
“Becky has a gift of seeing potential in people and then supporting them reach their goals,” said John Goodfellow, Founder of Goodfellow Therapy, a HealthPRO Pediatrics Company. “Because of Becky, we have an outstanding fieldwork program and our students often rate us as an excellent fieldwork site.”
When students were displaced from other fieldwork placements at the onset of COVID-19, Becky was actively involved in accepting and placing students within our company. “Together or apart, we have been united in helping children,” says Liz Ajello, President of HealthPRO Pediatrics. “Becky demonstrates that mission in her commitment to her students and our kiddos as she continues to work through the ever-changing barriers and challenges of the pandemic.”
Becky is a driven professional, working full time with Goodfellow for more than 17 years. She was also on the OTAC Board of Directors as a Regional Director for two terms and will be completing her Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Degree in December.
